Telescope Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Telescope is a macOS menu bar utility that converts Unix timestamps to and from human-readable dates. We believe in privacy by design.

Data we collect

None. Telescope does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data about you or your usage. The app operates entirely on your device.

Clipboard access

Telescope reads your macOS clipboard solely to detect when you have copied a Unix timestamp, so it can show the converted date in the popover. The clipboard contents never leave your device — there is no network connectivity and no analytics.

App Sandbox

Telescope is fully sandboxed per Apple's macOS App Sandbox rules. It has no entitlements for network access, file system access outside its own container, or any user data.

Third parties

Telescope does not include any third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, advertising frameworks, or telemetry of any kind.
